help
I don't have my book handy, and no immediate resources to check. One of my dad's friend's son (irrevalent) has an english paper. He's answered all the questions except a 5, I narrowed it down to two.
These are all questions concerning the 4th chapter in the hobbit: "What forebodings did Gandalf have when leaving Rivendell?" "What mistakes did the dwarves make after leaving Rivendell?" (This question is refering to the time between Rivendell and the run-in with the goblins on their front porch)

I don't understand why people that can't help post anything at all. If you can't help, then why post?

To the second question:
The Dwarves did not check rightly the cave in which they were searching for schelter. The first question I don't know out of hand. Respectfully Findegil |

Hope that helps a little. Ithildin55

I think they may simply want that "the dwarves sheltered in the back entrance of the goblin tunnels"

No idea 'bout the second one but I do agree with Ithildin55 about question number 1 because the book says that both Gandalf and Elrond were a little weary because no one had really discovered or wiped out all the evil that resided in those mountains. So Gandalf was just worried if he had chosen the right course of action.

For the second question, the dwarves mistake was probably that they did not leave a watchman when they slept in the cave. I dont know about the other question.
