The Hobbit Wheel of Fortune Game
Rules are generally those of "Wheel of Fortune" show. A passage from the Hobbit, quotes or not, is given as blanks. Players request a letter. If a player guesses a letter then the player can guess the whole passage. Solver gives next passage.
How about this for the first: "_ _ /_ _ _ _ _ /_ _ _ _ / _ _ _ _ _ / _ _ _ _,/ _ _ _ / _ _ _ _ / _ _ _ _ _ _ _ / _ _ _ _ / _ _ _ _ _ / _ _ _ _ _ _"!/_ _ _ _ / _ _ _ _ _,/ _ _ _ / _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ / _ _ _ / _ _ _ _ / _ _ / _ _ _ / _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _. Note: Additional rule, inspired by an observation by Lizra in a post later, you can only guess a vowel after you have successfully guessed a consonant. (Admin note: I got rid of most of the old games to clear up space. Rules are still the same)

Good point about the vowels. But it's difficult to keep track of guessers. How about if you can't guess a vowel in a game until you've guessed correctly on a consonant?
"_ _ /_ _ _ e _ /_ _ _ _ / a _ _ e _ / f _ _ e,/ a _ _ / e _ e _ / _ _ a _ _ _ _ / _ a _ e / _ _ e _ _ / e _ _ _ _ _"!/_ a _ _ / _ _ _ _ _,/ a _ _ / _ e _ _ _ _ e _ / _ _ _ / _ a _ _ / _ _ / _ _ _ / a _ _ e _ _ _ _ e. only one "f".

Can solve the riddle now or do I have to wait until I get permission? (It's been ages since I've watched 'Wheel of Fortune'...) |
