Monday, December 9th, 2002: 9 Days left.
Beleg finishes his eleventy-first reread of TTT and starts assembling the pieces of his Frodo costume. In desperation, he realizes that he doesn't have a ring! No! Where is it! Precious!!!

So what are all of you doing?

Ive never understood this getting dressed up for mjovies thing that geaks do haveing only recentally become a geak myself i have yet to fall to that level of sadness.

I'm going to stand outside at the prem and dress up, then I'm going to the opening night in town, dressed up and then I'm going on Dec 28th with my friend in Newcastle and guess wot? I'm dressing up. Frodo at prem, Legolas at opening and Arwen in Newcastle- its going to be so much fun. Already have the Legolas costime from my little escapades for Children in Need- that got quite a response I have to say!!! Tee hee Mx

My plans are to see the movie before the new year

No costume, and I am not going on the premire

I like having a smaller group of people. And those people in costumes kind of scare me. Its seems to be in the same catagory as stalking *looks around cautiously*

I'll go as soon as I can, Though it will play in my small town theater, I might go to Indpls, to see if there is anyone in costume. I guess I would have to go to the "first" showing for best chance of this. I really doubt anyone will do this in Indianapolis, a big city, but people just don't get too "wacky"

here. If I see any young folk in costume, I will then drive them nuts by going up to them and talking to them!

. I would love it! So, I hope I see some costumes!

So what would you say? "Hi, I'm insanely enthralled with LotR also, I'm just too mature and intellligent to dress up like Halloween for the movie, but go for it!"

I find that if I mention I've seen it 8 times, people know where I'm coming from . . . that and having my kids behind me saying "she's totally fixated on LotR." and making whirling gestures beside their ears.
