What brought you to Entmoot?

I found it when I was doing research for a paper on the life of J.R.R. Tolkien. I searched on this Tolkien - related search engine, and Entmoot came up. It was one of the recommended sites, so after I finished my work, I went back and checked it out...and now here I am!

My only officemate who's a Tolkien fan as well left the company in january and I was left with nobody to talk to on the subject. I went surfing and found Yahoo Internet Life Tolkien Site Contest and found the Moot there. Checked it out and guys like Bropous and FrodoFriend and Afro-Elf seemed nice and so seemed most everybody. I got hooked and now I need therapy.

I was searching for song texts in English on some site. The 'links' part told me to go to Tolkientrail. From it I went to entmoot. And here I am!

Via the Lord of the Rings Fanatics . As my interest in all things Middle-earth was growing, I visited a lot of sites. The Entmoot board discussions are the best, and as such I registered here.

I stumbled into here while looking up Tolkien related sights. I am a big fan of Treebeard and company from the book, so this being called Ent Moot and all... It's a nice fit.

What made me stay was the general charm of the members, thoughtful discusions, (except for the whole arwen/liv tyler thing ) good sense of humor and the lack of flame wars.

I was on Michael Martinez's site. He had a link to the entmoot. He said it was the best, most friendly Tolkien board online. He was right.

I think I remember now. I was searching on ezboard, and I went to another LotR board. In bmilder's custom signature, there was a link to Entmoot when it was still at ezboard. There, there was a link to here.

That was a long time ago...I don't really remember. I think it may have been a google search. Or it could have been the Barrow-Downs. Yeah, I'm pretty sure that was it. I found Tolkien Trail first; I remember that much.

I think I was on some kind of late night craze . . . giving my Tolkien obsession full reign. I surfed into Tolkien Trail somehow, and . . . well, I'd been here before and liked it, but hadn't tried out Entmoot. I must have been either really lonely or really bored so I just picked a random user name and joined in! Now, a few months later, I am hopelessly addicted.

I had just seen the movie and wanted, no, needed more. I couldn't get my hands of FOTR, so I was searching around online to find out more about Tolkien, and came across this site. I am hopelessly addicted and couldn't be happier!

I searched on Altavista under "Tolkien", I recall, and ran into the parent site, Tolkien Trail. I decided to enter into the parody contest (which I still think I deserved to win ) and looked at the site every now and then. I eventually ventured toward the entmoot link and registered.

By the way, my entries were "Hobbit's Paradise" and "Minas Morgul", if you care to look at them. I like the former far better.
