100th post! and my roommate thinks i'm more obsessed than i am
my housemate (who will from here on be known as K) was introduced to lotr over the summer, and over the summer i reread the series and discovered this wonderful forum. since then i have checked it religiously... usually every day if not more often... and now i am on my 100th post! my housemate has commented that every time she comes into my room i am on entmoot! thanks for all the fun and expanding my knowledge and minimal obsession with middle... you have given me a space to speak freely.............. (yes i know i am cheesy..... and a dork.... like, duh!)

Just think of it this way.. If you weren't cheesy, and a dork, and obsessed with tLoTR, would you be here?

but seriously i almost think being on this forum made me more obsessed... i mean, i'm not one of those people that knows extensive history about ME. i have only read lotr twice and the silmarrilion once, which is good but i have seen people on here go on about nuances (sp?) that i never knew existed. i am always interested in learning new trivia, but at the same time i'm not really a walking tolkien encyclopedia....

welll let's leave it at this... the site has made me more obsessed with the books, but the books in turn make me more obsessed with the site... it's a vicious cycle!

Heh, if you think the site puts you into that cycle, try a good tolkienish mud (i suggest t2t!). Its like a bulletin board, but with drunkards, killers, and an entire mortal council instead of a president [Watch joe take this as an excuse to ban me again.. "No advertising!"]
