Is Figwit back?
People are saying they can see him in the re-forging of Narsil scene in the trailer. PJ said he would bring Figwit back. But wasn't Figgy a wood elf? Narsil should be re-forged by Elrond's children.

im sure that only us devoted "purists" would realise that it's the same guy.. he's prolly just playing a different guy.

I think this is the picture people are thinking is Figwit. I've also heard others say it's Arwen, but it doesn't look a bit like her.
EDIT: Darn, the link doesn't work!!!! Sorry. If you go to TOR.n and find the article with RotK trailer screencaps on it, the pic is the first one on p. 5 of screencaps. If that makes any sense.

Yes, it makes sense -- I found it. And I don't think it looks a bit like Arwen.

Just to update this...
I believe that is Figwit when Arwen sees the future son vision and an elf says something like "milady, we mustn't tarry" or some other Elizabethan-SCA-renaissance-faire nonsense they have elves saying nowadays.

Well, now that he's got a speaking part it should be easier to spot him in the Council of Elrond scene.

Yeah, I couldn't help but smirk and think of Entmoot when I saw him in his little speaking part. I thought it was funny that they bumped him up a notch, seemingly due to his "popularity."

He's in the cards? Wow. But the guy barely exists! What's his name stand for again? Something like 'Frodo is Great, who is that?' or some similarly amusing line? I can see it now . . . PJ: "Well, they like this guy . . . . he's got a big following . . . ." Somebody Else: "So, if you put him in the third movie, they'll all pay to come see that, too." PJ: "Oh, right! Good idea!" Although if they filmed them all at once that couldn't have happened. Oh well.

Funny how he is officially referred to as Figwit (you were right about the acronym), instead of Elf Extra #3. It's all a plot by Bret McKenzie to have fangirls write fanfics about him!
