Sci-Fi story
I have to write a sci-fi story for English. Since i've got nothing better to do, I plan on making a novel out of it. Unfortunately, I have no plot! Can anyone help me brainstorm or give me inspiration? It has to take place in space..hmm

Brainstorm? Isn't that something you get when it thunders and lightnings inside your head? Well thats todays bad joke out of the way.
As for ideas I'd have to think about that one, unless you wanna do yet another Star Wars or Star Trek novel? Errr lord of the rings in space???? Uhmm atttack of the killer Teddy Bears? Errrrr *wanders off still thinking*

Ideas: be original. Avoid Star Wars, Star Trek, etc standards. Remember that just because it takes place in space doesn't mean that what's important has changed. The story should still focus around the individual characters, who, though they may look weird since this is sci-fi, are essentially human.

Hehe...I remember when I had her for 8th grade. We had to do something similar (but it was more open ended than sci-fi). I kinda had this alternate dimensions matrix-ish thing which borowed from a lot of stuff. I made it into 11 pages, and got an A-...she said the plot would make a good TV movie. I was pretty satisfied with my work though, but I think I should have done better.
No ideas though. Sorry. Just make something original and weird. |
