I found SGH, IronParrot and Anduin (if it's the same) from this forum there. There are probably more but I didn't look very close...
Looks interesting...

Gotta love Ben for moving to VBulletin and not adding pop-ups.
No, really, though, Blackboar? I dug through a couple of threads before my hatred for EZboards and popups drove me away; it's cool. I often wish I was around on Entmoot way back even in its EZboard days. I wouldn't feel like just another movie-brought once-newbie who 90% doesn't type in complete sentences, except for when I do. Some of the discussions are pretty interesting, and I noticed that some of them have circled back around to haunt us here. I find it amusing still that it says it will be deleted. And it won't. (Hey Ben; are some of those threads in the Archive stuff that got moved somehow? I honestly don't know )

Those were the days.... Not to be rude to any of the newbies, but I liked the board better when it was smaller, and you knew everyone.

hmm speaking of newbs, what do you consider yourselves?
That is not a very good view of the old message board. Ezboard killed it with deleting most of the messages, hundreds of members (there were well over 1500 members registered - entmoot wasn't that little then.. ), got rid of some of the buttons and images, and that annoying deletion notice. Who uses ezboards anymore? They really suck. They never used to have all those ads and poor service. I remember when ezboards used to be cool and entmoot was one of the most successful ezboards - I had a successful ezboard at the time too (about Harry Potter) and ezboard interviewed us for their newsletter. They sent us t-shirts, mugs, pens with the ezboard logo. It was nice. All the posts were trasnfered over. On ezboard - threads "fell off" after 20 pages in a forum. The topics were moved - but the posters are all listed as "guests."

I constantly kick myself for not having discovered the moot in August instead of September 1st! Then I could have seen the before and after. Instead, I got here soon after VBulletin was installed. Oh well.

In August 2001, we moved from ezboard to vBulletin. All posts were transferred, so the messages before then exist both here and on the original ezboard. Members were not transferred, though, so we had to start from scratch. The old ezboard had about 900 registered members. The members could re-register here (about 100 did), and we edited their profile to reflect their previous registration date and post total to give the illusion of having the same account. However, all the posts prior to August 2001 will list "Guest" under all the usernames. Now we have pretty much unlimited pages per forum, so there is no advantage to having threads in one forum over another. The Archive was transferred over along with everything else, but we just left it intact (and still add to it), because it's a nice central place to keep old threads.

Seeing the old entmoot is kind of.... cute. It feels a little like looking in my parents photobooks at pictures from when they were my age. The entmoot has come a long way since then I guess. I can believe it was better those days when you knew every one, Finmandos12 and I sometimes wish I was there to witness it. Unfortunately I don't see those days returning and I'm not leaving. I'll guess you'll just have to get to know me. I may not be one of those that started it but I'm glad to be here today and bugger the lot of you. (I'm sorry, I'm feeling extremely pesky today...night, must be because it's past my bedtime.)
