What do they mean 'Abandoned Concept: Aragorn Battles Sauron'? Surely they didn't even think about having that.

That would be... unbelievably... wrong. You were just kidding there right Telcontar? Right!??
But anyway, I couldn't get the link to work.

In the link it said they abandoned the idea of having Aragorn having a battle with Aragorn. *faints*

I think it's talking about the Palantir, remember? When Aragorn shows himself and takes control of the Seeing Stone. It showed it in the preview. Dude, it looks so stinkin awesome. And the Houses and Healing and mouth of Sauron is getting put in too! *throws a party* Woot I say!

WOAH!!! <remains speechless, closes jaw, wipes saliva> That is so cool! I am totally stoked for this release. I honestly don't think I'll ever be as into a book/movie combo as LOTR, although maybe the Hobbit might. This EE release will even further cement that opinion! I can hardly wait for the Witch King/Gandalf duel, among many others to list. Why can't it be December tomorrow!?

Now that's the movie I thought I was going to see in the first place!!! Wonderful Wonderful Wonderful. Poor Peter, having to cut such cool scenes to keep it below three hours for the theatre. I believe I speed for everyone when I say . . . I'd sit for a 12 hour version (as long as soda was available IV and popcorn and other sustaining-goodies were hand-delivered along with intermissions for bladder-relief.
Can't Wait!!! Know what I want for Christmas......

*drools* Now I really can't wait until it comes out! A whole 38 days (including today) left. (If it comes out on December 14, which I'm pretty sure it does.)

December 14? That's like the same day Chain of Memories (Kingdom Hearts sequel for GBA) is released! TWO good things to buy!

I put in my advance order at Amazon weeks ago. I just could NOT believe they left out the Houses of Healing from the theatrical release. Any five minutes of that ending could have been edited to make room for it.
I don't suppose they decided to delete the death of Saruman at (*shudder*) Orthanc and replace it with the death of Sharkey at Hobbiton... /me *ducks!* |

ya i cant wait either, i was so disappointed with them not putting in gandalf and the witch king. that was my favourite part in the book, the witch king is at the broken gates telling gandalf that it is all over, and then... horns! the rohirrim arrive. but in the movie they just had them show up at some random point during the battle.

I'm practically wetting myself with anticipation over here! 18 days!!!!!! I was so mad that they left out the part about Galadriel's gift to Sam (mallorn tree). I hope PJ has the courtesy to put in some kind of tribut to that.
