New Millenium Resolutions
The old hobbit nursed his weary fingers and then limped back to the keyboard...
1. No more futile philosophical/political/religious debates for me on the ENTMOOT message board! 2. I will finish the HOBBITON RPG! 3. At least one new Tolkien reading each month, until the best parts are done. 4. At least one new chapter in my Tolkien fan novel each month, until it is finished. 5. I will finally raise vegetables, rabbits, and fish in a largely self-sufficient ecocycle in my backyard. If I can make it work, I'll try to teach others. See Poor Robert's Almanac (abandoned). 6. I'll stop wasting Time. Fortunately, I have the entire Third Millenium to perfect these resolutions! What are yours? |

Re: New Millenium Resolutions
My New-Millenium resolution is that,
even though it is true that people reap what they sow I won't be one of those who make them reap anymore. They're never satisfied of what they reap, and they don't even know why... Exit! |

Re: New Millenium Resolutions
Hmm...
Updating TT semi-daily, adding cool new features and sections (hope the same applies to you Tater ) I'll practice my instruments more. (Although not to Crystal-extremes, don't worry, Greg or Jae ) That's about it |

Re: New Millenium Resolutions
DIdn`t we go through this last year? I guess this is the real/technical start of the new Millennium. As for me, I`m going to try not to be so bitchy and irritable as I have been these past 6 months. And I`m going to try to be more aware of my friends` feelings. I`ve caused some hurt to 2 very dear friends recently (unintentionally) because I just wasn`t thinking. I tend to do that sometimes. And I also have to develop some new skills and find a better job that pays a little more. This minimum wage stuff stinks. And to get my life (all aspects) a bit more organised. I think that`s a good start. Hopefully, those things will not remain just good intentions.

Re: New Millenium Resolutions
--Do better in school, aka get all my homework in on time
--Learn Irish fiddle --NOT kill certain annoying inhabitants of my school --Get into the Congress-Bundestag program (okay, so there's not a lot more I can do at this point besides wait, but there's no harm in positive thinking, is there?) --Pay more attention to my friends, who have been taking a back seat to homework lately |

Re: New Millenium Resolutions
Hey, nice to meet you, Soulfyyr! I'm Elanor, the talking cheese. (sorry, I'm in a silly mood right now) Sit down, make yourself at home, and don't be too hasty!
Elanor's resolutions: 1. Find out what I want to do for a career, if anything (careers are annoying--who needs one? Why not just have a job you enjoy and can live on?) 2. Be more friendly, outgoing, make more friends (translation: spend less time reading and on the net! ) 3. Get into the habit of reading the scriptures and praying everyday. 4. Excercise for 30 minutes at least 3 times a week. |

Ok, resolutions...
- become less of an Internet addict and go back to the golden age of playing computer games on the computer and almost nothing more (which is both more fun and less stressfull) - work really hard on my current computer game project - stop persisting on debating in arguments (unlike Gil, I'm finding that this is pretty easy; I simply haven't looked at that religious-argument post since seeing the first several replies to my latest message) - stop writing useless messages - clean up living quarters - stop writing this message (done) |

Re: New Millenium Resolutions
Well I thought long and hard about this
1. Re-learn my guitar (my goal is to learn how to play Stairway to Heaven) 2. Take some classes just for the heck of it and not because "it will do me good in the long run" 3. Finish at least three of the million half-finished projects floating around my room |

Re: New Millenium Resolutions
I usually don't do this but here are some things I shall strive for:
-exercise more -follow my own set of living rules (not at all serious) |

My resolutions:
1) Get rid of my optic nerve strain somehow.
2) Regain my prior typing speed - I've slowed way down in the last few years. 3) Read through the Bible in a year - again (I could probably do it in a month, but when I don't read to absorb, I miss things). 4) Buy one or both of Project 86's CDs - I owe it to them. 5) Make it out to Calgary at least thrice in the next year. 6) Learn the lyrics and the drum riffs to Twenty-Three. 7) Keep my hands and my conscience clean as far as this board goes (NTS will be another case altogether). 8) Above all, remember that yesterday was just another day. |

Re: My resolutions:
- learn yoga & swordfighting, regain some of the flexibility i lost a long time ago
- read more, experience more, but still be able to sit back & enjoy the experiences instead of rushing along to the next one - be able to look at the moment my life becomes stagnant (which it does all too frequently), realize just how this has happened, & be able to do somethign about it instead of falling into depression. - add new specimens to my indoor jungle (hmm, bromeliads?) - unpack the many boxes i have scattered throughout this house - find a job (or school) where i can come home at night & feel that i've accomplished something instead of merely existed through another day - write more: fiction, board posts, & on my webpage - live deliberately & not just claim that i do aryne * |
