Parents who should be shot
Okay, I've noticed parents name their children some really terrible things, but this, by far, is the worst.
I met these two really cute teenagers today. Sweetest people you will ever meet, but their parents must have been alcholics, OR wanted to scar their children for life. Their names were Margarita and Tequila. Post here for nominees for The Most Deserving Parents of A Bullet Right Between the Eyes contest. *thinks* Tequila...and Margarita? *ponders*

"Tequila" is questionable. "Margarita" isn't particularly off-the-wall, unless you note that it was placed beside "Tequila".
Besides, you said yourself they were cute. Do they have a big problem with their names? It's not like it's, say, Major Major Major or something...

These girls hate their names they go by Kiki and Rita.
It is terrible to name your kids something they will be made fun of until they are old enough to accept it, or change it.

I wouldn't mind meeting 21yrs+ people called Margarita and Tequila. It would sure make for some interesting bar-side conversations (and a very confused barmaid)

Well think just how popular they will be in college.
I have a friend who gave his first son the middle name of Guinness because he loved the beer of the same name so much. It kinda works. I guess if you are going to be named after an alcoholic drink you should just make it the middle name. I mean whats next. Hi this is my daughter Gin and his sister Tonic....

I'm named after my two grandfathers. I'm very glad that my mother put her foot down. Her father's name is my first name. If my father's mother got her way I would be Peter Robert. Say it fast and you'll see why I would hate it.
Having hippie parents must be weird - having the name Sunshine or Flower. You know they were on something when they named their children that. Especially if they were boys. At least Sam Adams was the leader of the revolution in the beginning. He got things rolling - not the most peaceful protester though. That's why he didn't have much of a role after the First Continental Congress. His cousin John Adams was much more clear headed.

For the record, names like "Rita" and "Margaret" were derived from "Margarita"...
On hippie names such as Sunshine and Flower, I know someone who has a friend named Rainbow. Wait until the next generation complains about how their parents named them after characters from The Lord of the Rings...

Well, I thought I gave my son a nice name, and he hates it, well, maybe that's too harsh, but dislikes it strongly. His name is Justin David. I guess there is a hippie element there. I named him Justin after the lead singer of the Moody Blues, and David after my brother. I like it. Oh, and several years later, I found out that Justin Hayward of the Moody Blues' real name is David Justin Hayward. Wierd.

Well, you could also have been named after, say, Marie Antoinette.

My sister has a friend that wants to name his kids Heaven Lee and Brook Lynn.
Margarita is a Spanish name, maybe the drink was named after a person? Would you rather be named Tequila or Gilraen?
