Teacup Café XLII
Welcome to the Forty-Second Teacup Café! The last one lasted about a year and a half, so we'll see how long we can stretch this one. Tea and coffee are on the left table, cookies and scones can be found on the right. Help yourself, the last time we had staff, we appear to have lost them somewhere in the zoo, or maybe in the sauna. Or possibly the aquarium. But it also could have been the giant provision cabinets. The one with the giant squid. This is the Teacup, after all. Enjoy! |

*stumbles in and takes a seat* I guess I'll curl up here with a hot chocolate (secretly stroking my Hobbit IMAX 3D tix and mumbling "my precioussssss"....)

I was just scared nigh witless... a friend of mine had almost committed suicide. What's worse, she's an internet friend, so I won't exactly be there in time if... /(>.<)\ I did my best talking to her, and hope it helps... another friend of hers had talked her out of it.
I'm so scared.

Thank you L-: She's better now (as far as I can tell). Luckily she's kept her word on writing to me daily. Here's hoping it will indeed be what she called it, an "all-time low". But indeed looking brighter now.

I'm sorry to say that talking usually doesn't help, but I'm glad it worked in your case. Let's hope she stays on top of things from now on.
If someone could make me a cuppa, I'd be very grateful. Today was rather taxing.

I just wanted to stop in and say hi
I haven't been around for the past few years. I always told myself that I would never become one of those mooters who forgot Entmoot the moment they went off to college, but alas that is exactly what happened. I've now graduated, married a friend since childhood, and am attending grad school, working towards a Ph.D. in Organic chemistry. When the Hobbit movie came out, I just had to return to Entmoot to see what you all thought I'm hoping to stick around for a little bit!

The lorries got lost in a bog and couldn't get out until now, but here they are...
"beep - beep - beep -beep* The lorries arrive with the usual Café paraphernalia of BBQ pit in attendant well-apppointed stone-laid veranda, verdant game-rich forest with peaceful fish-stocked lake, Mini-Zoo, Maxi-Zo, a new Spa section with Saunas, steamboxes and well-equipped gym. Bar, bistro with ice-cream parlour attached and special chocolette shop with an excellent selection of various goodies. |

Not sorry I missed much of the royal Christmas speech this year and opted for a drink instead. Sheesh, somebody better tell our king that the malcontent goblin-look is really unbecoming this time of year. Never mind the horrible political speech.
Merry Christmas all! |

Our royal speech is on New Year's Eve. Then the Prime Minister on New Year's Day.
A few years ago the King was on sick leave and the Crown Prince gave the speech instead. He managed to get in no less than 4 literary references in it, some of them to fairy tales
