Be v.v.v. careful, GG.
TV is not more important than a person, even if they had had a 'good long innings'! She was a great woman, sacrifice your Saturday night viewing for her! TV's not that good tonight anyway.

It is sad. I wonder what non-English people feel? I was just wondering how you think we see our royalty. Because i have noticed from a few comments that a few people seem to think we love them sooooo much. I'm not getting at anyone on the Moot by the way. But still. I feel sorry for the Queen. It can never be easy to lose your mum.

Funny how the US news had told us NOTHING about it. Or nothing that I'VE heard. Badword the US media. All hail BBC! And my condolences to what may be my fellow British if the US keeps up the stupid stories on the media.
Sam the anti american news

She was a Hundred and One.
Come on. I'm sure she was a perfectly nice woman, but she was going to die some time. Of course it's sad, but it's not particularly shocking or surprising.

It's kind of funny how Canadian TV tries to make some sort of thing about this and fails miserably because no one cares. It's sad and such, but she's a little old lady, sad but not tragic.

No. Not tragic. 101 is a very respectable age, to say the least. I'm sure she had a good life, as much as anyone in her situation can.
My condolences to the British people. |

It's not as much of a shock as the Princess Diana thing, but it's sad nonetheless. I know how much the British people love their royalty. Anytime someone dies and I watch the story of their life, or their funeral, most of the time I start leaking (if you know what I mean). I send my deepest sympathies to the Royal Family and the British people.

There shall be a customary parade of the Queen's Royal Guard at Buckingham Palace soon.
She shall of course be buried with all the Royals in Westminster Abbey. I was crushed by her death. She was a marvellous woman, always active, an incredible foreign diplomat in her day.
