dont know if this has been talked about but are you able to change your user name and can files that are not used be deleted because im sick of being a number brother and want just gimli

What do you mean by "files that are not used"?

We don't change usernames because eventually everyone would want it done. And if we changed lots of names, it would become very confusing figuring out who you were talking to. So we don't do it.

never thought of that. what i mean by files that are not used is that files that no one is ever logged on to but i geuss that person could come back if they wanted too...

well 1. that would lessen the registered user number
2. they could always come back
3. we just dont

and we are admins so :P

I think some other admins changed like 2-3 user names before we all decided against it....

About the old user names, I think that would be a good idea; wouldn't it free up space on here, to get rid of old, unused accounts?

i like gwais idea because it would free up alot of space and i heard you would lose all your posts if you changed your name

I don't think your post count would change if your name did. I think it would just be like changing your title -- nothing else would change.

I think I told you that, but what I meant was that you can't change your name (IOW, re-register, which is the only way you CAN change your name) but still keep your post count. It's really the same thing as what everyone was saying.
