Science Fiction Books Worth Reading
Perhaps the best pure science fiction writer I have found is James P. Hogan. He is the author of the Giants quadllogy (Yes 4 books ), and several others such as 'Thrice Upon A Time', 'The Two Faces Of Tomorrow', and 'The Genissis Machine'.
This is what I call science fact, the way he describes things makes you believe it is already happening or can happen tomorrow. |

I have not read any of his works...but a similar type is Larry Niven. Scientific Fiction, kind of describes it!

The only ones of Hogan's books I have read are "code of the lifemaker", which I really liked, and "the cradle of saturn" , which i didn't. The first is about a civilization of 'robots' that evolved from droids that were supposed to automatically complete their tasks, but got abandoned. It was original and I like it. The second was about a big rock that's going to crash into earth, which was boring and I didn't like it.
Although maybe the big rock is much more likely than intelligent machines evolving on their own. |
