Image list for my book translation!
Today I've begun writing a image-tag list for my translation of a Pettson-book (a Swedish children's book) to English.
It's in HTML-format and I'm wondering: Do I have to specify the placing of the images right away or could it wait until I've finished the list and pasted in the tags? Which is really just a long list of this kind of tag: <img src="image_page003.jpg"> Image Page 003 </img>, to make it easier to copy and paste in the tag for each page. There is a thread already - Website Help
Not entirely sure what you mean but no, you don't have to specify the images now. You can wait until the list is finished if you like. [edit]Btw, you're translating Pettsson books for everyone to see online? What about the copyright?

And I meant that the images are differently placed on every page.
Some are on the uppermost part of the page and some on the lowermost and a couple of them are even wrapping themselves around the text, which I don't really know how handle tag-wise. Last edited by Grey_Wolf : 12-17-2004 at 04:40 AM. |

I think you would have to know the page layout before placing the image tag, and I don't think it would do any harm to place them after.
However, you'd have to go in order, because inserting the first image would change the layout for all pages after it.

Since the original is in a different language (Swedish, for those of you who just came in), I think the words will end up in a different position on the page.
I was just thinking that it would be easiest to put the tags in once you've translated and edited up to the image. Put the image where it ought to be according to the original, and keep going. Hm...
