I do. So far I've written only Harry Potter fan-fiction, though.

If you count Entmoot and Atharon RPGs, yeah, I write fanfiction. But nothing besides that.
I just prefer making up my own worlds, with their own customs, languages, etc.

Fan Fiction? This may seem dumb on my part, but is that Fantasy Fiction?

It's any fiction set in an existing fiction world, usually one with movies or (a) book(s), and typically involving main characters. For example: you could write Fan Fiction about Star Wars if you were telling the continued story of Luke Skywalker after Episode VI. Another example of Fan Fiction would be writing M:I 4. At least, I don't think it has to be fantasy.
But most Fan Fiction is fantasy, and it's usually LOTR too...and often involves Legolas...

Isn't there a fan-fiction section on tolkientrail? I remember reading some there.

There is, probably hasn't been updated for years, though.

Has any of tolkientrail been updated?
Did you know that searching "LOTR fanfic" is actually how I found Entmoot?

Thats cool.
One place to read fanfic is at fanfiction.net. Stories from movies books(including WoT and LotR) cartoons, etc, etc.

*wonders* Gee, you know I thought I posted in here, but now that I peruse the thread, I cannot find my post. Huh. *shrug*
*raises hand* I've written a bit of fan-fic. Unfortunately, most of it falls in with the rest of my unfinished writing. That dratted writer'sblockitis is a killer, believe you me. At any rate, I can think of one fan-fic I actually finished; a Pirates of the Caribbean story I titled Jack and the Genie. I believe I posted it here. My latest work in progress is lacking a name, but in lieu of one I've been calling it, "Demaethor and Amariel." I've been posting it here, in the thread 'Aw, heck; this has no name.' Not a very grabby title, which may explain the lack of readers. But I am pleased with it, seeing as my recent bout with writer's block seems to have gone into remission. I'll be posting another chapter soon. I might just finish it, more's the merrier. I've never finished a story this long before.

I have helped others write Fanfic on other websites. I generally like to participate in interactive Tolkien themed RPGs that are based on writing rather than video games.

Cerubethion,
Yep. I am very well known over there. I like to come to this board because of its relaxed atmosphere.
