Okay, I have to admit something. When I was watching Return of the King, I saw the previews for PoA. I said, "Another one?" Heh heh heh....... *runs away from screaming mob of fans*

I'm actually not going to go see it. Probably not anyway.

Anyone else not going? Probably no one who would read this thread .

I have thought about not going. The first two films were a real disappointment, and PoA is my favourite Harry Potter book. But then I'm curious to see how they do Sirius.

Same here (at least it was my favorite and Sirius used to be my favorite character) and I have a bad feeling about this movie (I didn't think the two previous were that good either).

I'm interested in how it'll turn out. The other two were pretty rubbish - infact my friend and I pointed out everything rubbish about the second one we were that bored in there....

I guess I'll wait till the hype dies down as well. I supose by the time it comes to the cinema here it'll be out on DVD. That's what happened with POC.

I didn't like the firs two either. It was weird because I found the movies to be slow paced and one of the reasons I liked the books was because they were paced so quickly.

But give this one a chance. There is a new director on this one. I forget his name, but he directed Y Tu Mama Tambien, and if you go to www.ainitcoolnews.com there is a review of a screening which is really positive.

I saw some reviews of the screening in Chicago or something. Both people who reviewed it said it was better then the first two. And yeah, there's a new director, Alfonso Cuaron or something. I didn't really like the first two, but I saw CoS on opening night anyway...
My best friend's birthday is on the 4th, and I hardly ever see her anymore, so if she has a party, i might not see it on opening night. but I'll see it ASAP, believe me.
Like I said, I didn't reallt like the first two, but I have high hopes for the 3rd. Plus, JKR likes them. How bad can it be??

But I have one problem with it: Remus does NOT have a moustache!!

Yeah... he doesn't look...scraggly... enough. I mean, he was in Azkaban for 12 years, don't you think he wouldn't look like he does. JKR describes him as having an "elbow length tangle" of hair (or something like that). It's only shoulder length. And his beard is too short, for the same reasons.

Yeah... and for some reason I imagined him with darker hair.. and looking a bit more... cute. I can't really describe it - in the movie he just doesn't look like he's someone who'd have a lasting impression on you if you met him. While I always thought that in the books he'd be like someone you could hardly forget... again I can't really describe it well.

The thing that you have to understand is that these are movie for the wee ones. You know. The kiddies. And as such I thought that they were well done. I enjoyed them.

But like JKR says, the books get darker and (suposedly more mature) as Harry gets older and more mature. Same for the movies? I'm curious to see how they work the Ron/Harry/Hermoine angle because the movie producers brought up the idea of possible romances far before JKR did.

And, I heard that they (The movie markers) are going to take a break after this movie and begin production of the fourth one some years down the road.

I don't think so. They've already started to get actors for the 4th movie, and I heard they were going to start filming this spring.
