Do you REALLY have a complete set of Lotr BK toys?
I thought I did...but there are 3 different types of Boromirs!!! Which one do you have? The most common Boromir Burger King toy is the Boromir with the long robe and silver elbow pads (thingys).
The second most common one is the Boromir with long robe and gold silver elbow pads. The third and most uncommon Boromir is the Boromir with the shortened robe. So which Boromir or Boromirs do you have? I have The first and third. If you don't know what I am talking about, I am talking about the Lord of the rings Burger King toys from Burger Kind....I know many of you were collecting them and may be un aware of this. For those of you who thought you had a complete set, do you really?? I will post pics The first pic has the short-robed boromir (very rare, and I aquired it by accident ) and the long-robed gold plated elbow thingys (you'll see what I mean).

I can't find that great a pic of the most common type of Boromir (there are lots of pics, just none that I find that flattering), but take my word for it (since I have this one) it exists....the most common being Boromir with long robe/cloak with silver plated elbows. I remember ringbearer said he had a complete set.....Do you have all 3 Boromirs? Since I have two of them... I can tell that up close they really look different....completely different molds...different designs all over, just the most distinguishable (i know i spelt that wrong, i don't care) difference is the robe/cloak length......I don't know why Burger King did this...Perhaps and error? Your thoughts, opinions? Know what I am babbling about?

Well I have seen "complete sets" advertised on eBay but I've also seen the 3 Boromirs (hmmmmm interesting thought there!) advertised as well. What I have managed to get there is The One Ring, at a price a heck of a lot cheaper than those on the ad you often see here. As a matter of fact I have two of them and may indeed be selling one of them on later if anyone is interested. Also if anyone is missing Gandalf, please PM me as I have two.

I just bought a complete set at a garage sale for two dollars. What a fun toy, I love all the things they say, and the ways they light up. I bought all his back-ups too. They were only 10 cents apiece. Both of my Boromirs have the long robes. PM me if you are interested in any of my extras, I only need the one set.
OOOH! I just checked on eBay, maybe I should turn the extra's over to my husband! Last edited by Lizra : 08-15-2002 at 12:03 PM. |
