General Knowledge quiz online.
Inspired, I've decided to start two quizzes, one here on General knowledge, another in the tolkien (middle earth) section on Tolkien stuff.
If you've seen first line(s) in the general literature forum you'll know the kind of format. Ask a question, people have guesses at answering it, after three incorrect guesses, a hint, after three further incorrect questions, the answer and another question by the same person. If someone guesses right then the original question giver says, "correct"(or something to that effect) and the correct answer giver carries on with a new question. No silly questions are allowed, and only a few Tolkien ones as the otheer quiz-thread in the Middle Earth forum is for that sort of stuff. I'll begin then...an easy one...if you know the answer. Topic-Astronomy Going in order away from the Sun which planet comes after Venus? Happy quizzing!!!

What is the meaning of life?
Is it necessary that life has meaning? If it is, is that meaning objective? If it is objective, does it apply to plants? *Note: These are not three incorrect guesses. I don't think this is a question at all. It is similar to asking: What is the colour of stubborness? Anyway, to humour everyone, here's a guess: Whatever you decide it to be. Strawberry, I really think you need to make a new question. I don't think there's an answer to this question.

No, i assure you it is a general knowledge question, and a lot of people will know the answer, provided they have read the right book (major hint).

On intercepting your cryptic hints, I have managed to ascertain that this question is indeed not of "general" applicability, but more suited to theology.
So, maybe you could give us a hint regarding the "right" book? |

life n 1. the quality that distinguishes a vital and functional being from a dead body or inanimate matter; also; a state of an organism characterized esp. by capacity for metabolism, growth, reaction to stimuli, and reproduction.
Acoording to Mr. Webster, that is the meaning of life.

The meaning of life, the universe and everything, is 42.

So who gets to ask the next question? Sun star, I guess, since she got the answer you were looking for?
