Girl with a Pearl Earring
I was wondering if anyone's read this book by Tracy Chevalier about a maid in 17th century Holland to the painted Johannes Vermeer. It's also been made into a film starring Scarlet Johansson, which I haven't seen yet.
I think the book is fairly good, though a bit of a letdown after all the raving reviews I'd heard about it. |
