Sam Gamgee Do hobbit woman have hair on their feet?

I was thinking of all the Hobbits when a thought flashed in my head. Do hobbit have hair on their feet? It would be really weird to imagine this hairy hobbit woman.

Sam Gamgee

I'm sure they do. They just don't have as much as the males.

Of course they do! They spend more time grooming their foot hair than the male hobbits do.. Hobbit foot hair care products are popular items in Hobbitown. (where do you place the emphasis in the phrase Hobbit foot hair care products?)

"Hobbitfoot" hair care products?
Hobbit "foothair" care products?
Hobbit foot "haircare" products?

-or perhaps "Products of care for the foot-hair of hobbits"

confusing

I wonder: if hobbits were around today, would the 'rebellious' ones shave not only their heads but their feet as well? Maybe style it (foot-dreadlocks AHA HAHA!) or dye it different colors? Makes you wonder . . .

Like, that you couldn't phsyically distinguish a male dwarf from a female, and that there were very few females... I think it was mentioned by tolkien somewhere.

Scary. For all we know Gimli could have been a woman dwarf, in which case the legolas/gimli slash wouldn't be slash anymore.

I don't remember the beard part, but here's from Appendix A of RoTK :
Quote:
It was said by Gimli that there are few dwarf-women, probably no more than a third of the whole people. They seldom walk abroad except at great need. They are in voice and appearance, and in garb if they must go on a journey, so like to the drawf-men that the eyes and ears of other peoples cannot tell them apart. This has given rise to the foolish opinion among Men that there are no dwarf-women, and that the Dwarves 'grow out of stone'.

Female Dwarves might have breads and Female hobbits might have hair on their feet.
