Straken (Terry Brooks)
This guy, over the years, has shown an amazing quality for a writer or any artist, for that matter: the ability to improve with every creation.
I just finished Straken an hour or so ago. Loved it. He's got alot in the works, too. The next 6 books apparently will go back in time to the end of the Great Wars through the First Druid Council. The first Landover book is being adapted for a movie in 3 or so years. Other stuff, too. |

I'm actually reading The First King... just now with the full intention of reading all of my Shannara-books.
But, honestly, who diluted can the Shannara Elven Blood become before the magic in it is gone for good? What think ye? |

I think it may be the same with Shannara blood. Even if eventually the scions of Shannara find themselves with just drops of Elven blood remaining, as long as their culture and themselves believe in and embrace their Shannara heritage, the magic will live. |
