Middle Earths location

Where in the modern world do yo think middle earth was located, I pesonally think it could be the north of the middle east

Hobiton was supposed to be Oxford and Minas Tirith somwhere near the area of Florence, Italy. You can take it from there.

I posted this map a while ago - it shows part of Middle Earth (the one known) as Europe. Minas Tirith looks like it's in the sea, or in Croatia - but it's close to what you said Attalus.

based on that, which be a very good map, i have just noticed the Baranduin follows nearly the exact course of the english channel for a bit!
