While I realize that the riddle is rather disjointed, more a description than a riddle, the text comes from LOTR.
Also, and more important to the riddle is that the answer is included in the body of the riddle. Look at the words more closely.

Fair warning. Like with any thread that becomes lengthy, at 100 pages, this thread will be closed. You are more than welcome to start a new one.

Mirahzi and Blackboar have come closest to the answer I seek (but not the actual answer).
Final Clue: Look at the riddle and ponder the capitalized words....

While y'all are looking up the answer to the last one, I have prepared a new riddle for y'all to guess.

From deep in the wood it came.
It traveled all the wide world, south, west, and north.
Even to Mordor before its fall.
Blessed it was, by one of the Great.
Plain it was, and unadorned save for a silver rune.
Small it was, yet containing a power within.
A power for healing, a power for growth.
A seed for a new beginning,
and memory of that which once was.

Blackboar, that has to be the lamest excuse I have ever heard (outside of my kids of course).
C'mon now! You seem like a pretty creative person. If you put your mind to it I know you can create a riddle for us! Besides, I would like to guess at some riddles for a change!

Impressive! TinuvielChild has guessed the answer and I have only just posted the riddle! Was that too easy TinuvielChild? I thought it would keep y'all guessing for a bit.
