Yes, the answer is Talan, or Flet. Good job TinuvielChild!

I will keep working on your riddle, although I still think Finrod works pretty well. I should get an asterix or something in the Book of Records for it!

A gift to Dwarves,
yet spurned them by,
teeth that cannot bite.
As time went by it came to be
the cause of bitter enmity.

Keith K: The dwarven necklace; the nauglamir. Or a silmaril.

Hmmm, a hint eh? Are y'all ready to give up this quickly? I will consider your plea Radagast if you can convince some of the others to join you in caving in!

I have no clue what the answer is and would be happy for a hint.
But we are forgetting the teeth that cannot bite line.

Well then, it seems y'all need a bit of help. The answer to my riddle can be found in LOTR, so you need not have an extensive library. The first and the third lines present the best clues to solve the riddle.

My dear Casseopeia, I regretfully (with glee) must inform you that your guesses are quite simply not correct!
The answer to my riddle is not the mithril coat or the treasure of Erabor.

I have no clue again even with the clues! All I thought of was Lonely Mountain.

You will not find your answers in Erebor. Seek for them in Rohan.
