There really are a lot of similarities between Swedish and Norwegian.
The Norwegian "ø" seems to equal the Swedish "ö", is that right? I recognized some of the words in your translation too.

Yes, the norwegian ø are the same as ö. also the norwegian letter å is the same as ä.
It's really similar. If you speak, or write one of them, it's easy to recognize the other.

A quick note - since IKEA is a foundation, the money isn't really his Compare the Swedish sentence to what Pytt wrote and see how similar they are. Quote:
- å is the same letter in both languages.

I'll remember that if I ever have to try to read some Norwegian. Norwegian, Swedish, and Danish are all so alike, and yet... so not... aaa!

Ah yes. I see now. Sometimes it's hard looking things up in a dictionary.
I think I get all my mistakes, except, why "den" instead of "personen"? I recently learned the rule about adjectives - if the noun if "ett", add a "t", if it's "en", leave it alone, and if it's plural, add an "a".

"Den" is a demonstrative pronoun, that is a pronoun that points out an intended referent. It's THAT person (DEN personen) and not just A person (EN person). Do you follow?

Hi Chrys! It would be easier if I knew in which context you're going to say that, but I hope this will be ok:
Pent galleri, er det greit at jeg ser på?

Ok, I saw the drawings of you, they were really great.
Can you do me a favour back and tell me what "slainte mhath", "slan leath" and "Sraid Mabbot" means? I think it is gaelic, but I'm not sure ...

Thanks, but there's no need to stress yourself, it's not that important.
Marillion has a song called "Slainte mhath", and the other two are phrases from Ulysses by James Joyce.
