OK, I added Melko, Ruinel and Aeryn - did I miss anyone?

Um, is it just me, or is Ruinel's pic just a dark outline of her face?

Truly though, there is a kid at my school who greatly resembles Spock, his ears are just a bit less pointy. Still pointy, though.

Not as pointy as Elves are portrayed with. And anyway, maybe some Elves have pointy ears, but not all Men do, do they? Do they?

and to others - can you see Ruinel's face? For me, her face is completely dark - I might have a wonky browser, though...

And why do you say that? Where did Tolkien state that?

The only thing I'm aware of is, IIRC, in one of the BoLTs, very early on, he said something about elves having kind of leaf-shaped ears. But that seems to have been abandoned, because in all his other writings the only way Elves are distinguished from men are : bright eyes, beautiful voices and beautiful faces, IIRC. There are times when men were mistaken by elves to have been elves (ex. - Tuor), so I doubt if the ears were different.

This, and the question of "do Balrogs have wings", are two of the ongoing debates that will never be resolved - do a search, there's lots of posts on these subjects.

Ok, she finally responded and confirmed that yes, she is the artist. April Lee is the name; according to her, they were originally done for an older Middle-earth card game of some sort.

If you're interested, her site is here.
