Almost got it, Eruviel! The brother's name is one of Christ's apostle's names.

That's it! Excellent job, Eruviel!
I've only recently re-discovered the sci-fi genre....read it like crazy when I was young and then somehow got on to other stuff.
Fellow Mooter Mordomin and I were talking one day about books we liked and our conversation reminded me of some old favorites
which I need to re-visit. Because of that conversation I looked into some of the newer stuff and found the Ender's Game series, and am I glad!

Now, what are the names of the three alien species threatened with Xenocide?

Is it cheating to look at the book? 'Cause now I have the answer: Humans, pequininos and the Hive Queen. And there's the virus descolada. . .

As "an unbiased bystander", well, I was. People aren't answering because the questions are all on the same topic.
So, I'll do a bit of changing:-

Where in the body would you find the phalanges?

The extremities. Fingers and toes.

Sorta. Ideas that function in a similar fashion to genes, that exhibit features such as self replication, and protection.

Well, they are comparative to genes NOT viruses. Where is he, anyway? It's his turn to ask a question.

Where one should be, there was three.
When an Ed was long, long before EdTV.
seeing double is hard, triple worse, you see.
There's a name for this, what might it be?
