mononucleosis
an infection caused by the EPSTEIN-BARR VIRUS (EBV) that leads to an increase in mononuclear LEUKOCYTES. Mononucleosis can be spread by saliva and is also known as the "kissing disease" (or simply "mono"). Symptoms include fever, fatigue, sore throat and swollen LYMPH NODES.

It means your neck swells up and you can't eat and you have a high fever.

I lost 11 pounds in a week.
