Amazon has (or had?) a sale on now on select cds, buy 3 get one free. (Supersaver shipping still applies, too).

Sheetmusicplus.com has a 20% off G. Schirmer editions for September.

I just got five cds: John Rutter's Requiem, Tallis's Spem In Alium, Tavener's Lament for Jerusalem, Pärt's Passio, and Elgar & V Williams (Fantasia on Tallis).

Now that sounds like a darned good deal...I have stuff to get at Amazon...as always *thinks of the fictional and Glorious Collection of Complete Organ Music...*

Good choices, IMO. Look into Tavener's "The Protecting Veil". Great piece.

Now my ipod, thanks to the fact that it is an older model with no "special" color or movie abilities, can hold 40...and thats darn good, IMO.

Well, I'm sorry, but I already got mine. (If I did get an Ipod, it would have to be a black one. *dislikes white media/entertainment appliances*)

Jabba the Hutt: What's that ugly pig thing over there?
Saluscious Crumb: That's a Gamorrean guard. Your guard. Don't you know?
Jabba: Oh, I thought it was dinner.. *takes a green squid-like thing out of tray next to him*

* is calm, is calm...*

So last night I was listening to Ligeti's "Aventures". These pieces of crap are basically this: crap. But to get into the actual components, it is made up of human "sounds", such as grunts shrieks and evil laughs. Kind of like a cappela from hell. It scared me to death last night...it's plain demonic. Don't believe me?

try tracks 6-8
