Groan when Merry's character is screwed up. (Which happens often.) Giggle insanely during a serious moment.

how about-
When the screen goes black at the almost-but-not-yet ending of ROTK start balling loudly saying "No! It can't end like that!! Frodo Lives! FRODO MUST LIVE!!! *sob* *sob*" When They are saved, dramatically sit down and say "Now that's BETTER Mr. peter!" In a mother-corecting-todeler voice.

Say the lines before they are said when watching it with a person who's never seen the movies.

Whisper things like "Oh, this is the part where she dies!" When Eowyn fights the Fell beast to a new viewer. then, after being proven wrong, just say "oops, never mind" or 'just kidding"

oooh, i know, in FOTR, loudly spend the entire bridge scene of Moria loudly talking about how scared of heights you are. See how long it takes for someone to hit you. my experience is about 15 seconds

lol.
Spend the whole movie loudly complaining about how other people talk too much during movies. When people tell you to be quiet, stand up and yell "YOU SEE WHAT I MEAN! NO ONE HAS ANY RESPECT OF SILENCE"

Has anyone just sat down and watched the movie from the back of the theatre, innocently throwing skittles (or M&M's) at the people who were unfortunate enough to sit in front of you?
maybe it had been suggested already, but it is still fun.

LOL! That's awesome! Ooh... ( i think I may have allready said this) But the other day when I was watching Rotk I came up with...
When pipin is sent by gandalf to light the beacon, as he runs off say "I've got to go to the bathroom!" I thought it fits... Also, when Elrond is narrating while reforging narsil, say 'And preform many cool matrix moves"

when it shows the Eye, stand up, raise arm, and yell "HAIL SAURON!" than give people shifty looks, and kinda like, walk briskly down the stairs and break out into a run through the door...
when saruman in sending winds to Carradhas, comment on his wonderful opera voice... when they get to rivendell, start skipping around and singing the "oh tra-la-lally, here down in the valley!" song from the hobbit...

[going with the family, you have a small child]
I MAY NOT BE ABLE TO CARRY THAT BOTTLE FOR YOU, BUT I CAN CARRY YOU!!! [dramatically lift child up stairs to the top, and hurl his bottle down the dread Stairs of Doom] --- before eating your popcorn, rise, look to the west, and pause for a moment of silence. --- when gandalf drives off the nazgul on horseback outside of minis tirith, "you might like the hear my organ, i said 'ride, gandy, ride!'" --- stand, sing, and dance: you can drink your fancy draughts, you can drink 'em by the liter, though it may show, everybody knows, coca-cola's sweeter! [yes, i am a coke fan] --- scream "2 magic! 2 magic!" every time you see Gandalf in action. ---

When frodo falls into the marshes say" It's ok, flipper will save me!"
Or When he leaves the grey havens say "Flipper, I'm home!"
