"Temporary" Venting Thread IV - Page 9

You know... after writing the whole thing out and posting it... I realized that I had worked out my frustration by writing it.

Yay.

I was so super frustrated with my dad yesterday after listening to him 'debate' some things with friends last night.

My point remains though: Ignorant people who try to debate religion and politics will often find themselves saying, "Well I -feel-" or "well in -my- opinion," and that just really, really doesn't cut it for me. Do a little research.

CRAP! My frellin' car pooped out on me! A friend of mine borrowed it to go to church yesterday; when he got it, it was dead. After he got it jump-started, it died again as soon as he changed gears. So, I went out there with someone else, who poked at it a bit, tightened a loose cable, and we jump-started it. I proceeded to drive it home. When I got back, as soon as I'd turned it off, I turned the key again, to see if it would work. It wouldn't. I guess the battery must be completely dead. Dammit. I wonder how long it'll take to get it fixed.

Gwai, I sympathize. My car is having two (maybe three) problems at the moment. First, I suspect an oil leak. I have evidence. Secondly, there is a very car-shaking rattling going on in the hood, having to do with my steering wheel cable or something like that. Must fix ASAP.

I'm pretty sure he didn't do anything to it. I mean, it was in the middle of the afternoon; why would he have left the lights on, or anything for that matter? And even if he had, why would it have completely killed the car?

I think it's just random stupidness happening. Grrr. Stupid random stupidness.

I talked to a mechanic, who's going to test the battery this afternoon. If that's all it is, I can probably have the courier pick up a replacement for me when he's doing runs tomorrow, and stick the durn thing in.

This is our venting thread. The place we come to grumble, gripe, and complain. If we need some alcohol to go with it, we go to the Teacup Cafe. Despite the inoffensive name and appearance, they've got pretty much everything under the counter.

I was pushing for a brewpub, myself, but no such luck....
