Yep. Maybe they'll start throwing these around at the beach in a hundred years; you never know.

That's a variation on the official Brendonianist Party seal.

At some point, I'm going to make a small cutout a mandatory addition to all propaganda issued by the Ministry of Propaganda and by the Ministry of Truth Rectification.

Hey TB you wanna try to resize the button to avatar size with your program, I've done it with GIMP but it messes with the file type and vbulleting subsequently rejects it as avatar material.

P.S. I think during the election our supporter can wear our Brendonianist party buttons as avatars to show their loyal support, and it will give us an unofficial (and unreliable) poll to show our progress (real or imagined).

I'm definitely feeling

schools are not assigning enough homework.

Not that I could ever in a million years "edit a logo in gimp". Gimp's for making lanyards, isn't it?

I would never throw pies, and I'm not in school I'm in college and since i'm not a party drinker I have lots of time. Anyhow GIMP is for photo-editing I don't think you could do lanyards...even if you wanted to.

Thank you, last sane.

You can call me either "Sis" or "Earl."(Lief's nickname for me) I answer to most anything, so feel free to name me yourself.

And rohirrim, I would be desolated if the super secret campaign plotting went to PM and I lost my ringside seat. As an apology, here's some "old school" (or old college, if that's more politically correct) gimp for you. http://www.boondoggleman.com/what_is_it.htm

You can call me Sane, Sis. Most everyone does. Hey, does anyone remember the election results? I dont mean who won, that is obvious. But I mean by how many votes it was won or lost.

No worries like I said if its reduced to PM's it would be a little boring...not totally but sorta.

I've totally made lanyards like that my mom and sisters always make those on long car trips. *nostalgia*

Polls don't have a very long half-life on the 'moot, but I believe SGH and Jonathan were up there as well. Hector won by a few votes.

Where is the actual created poll? Where is it? I see no poll to vote on around here; why is this? tHIS MESSAGE BOARD HAS THE CAPABILITIES TO PUT UP a votable poll; why have I never seen one?

This entire "presidential entmoot" thing strikes me as one long drawn out time-wasting sort of farce; is there really any actuality or truth to any of it? What is this "president" actually going to do? You mean Ben, the owner of this site, isn't de facto the "president" of his own site? I do not get it. And if it is supposed to be a fun, time-wasting sort of farce, then where is the poll for us to cick-vote at? This V-Bulletin site has the capability of supporting a votable poll; so, where is it? Where's the poll?

The Management doesn't like polls, because its common for message boards to be cluttered with useless and irrelevant polls, so they don't usually allow them.

Oh, really? How is a poll wherein members can VOTE for a "president" of their forum be considered "useless and irrelevant clutter?" I have never seen one single poll at Entmoot the entire time I've been a member here, which is amost 2 years now; why is this? Hmm. I can point out dozens and dozens of useless, irrelevant, cluttering threads and posts on this board, none of which have activated polls in them. There is so much clutter here it boggles the sane mind, yet where is one single poll, a clean poll wherein all registered members can logde his or her votes upon a topic or idea? There is nothing irrelevant about the democratic process of the vote.

Lotesse, the main reason there is no poll is because the elections are to be held next year. Some candidates are just a little early to announce they're running.
Being president is only a representative position, a title. It has nothing to do with who owns the site. I don't know if it's more time-wasting than anything else going on in GM, but it's a fun farce in any case

Maybe the admins will set up a poll next year. Or maybe the votes will be cast via PM like last time in 2004.

Thanks, baby, I know all this, but my point is, if they're so eager to make such a big deal about it - should't there be an acual definitive votable poll? Why the hell not? Why not? It would be fun, to see what people committed themselves to voting about, and it would be no more a waste of band-space and time than what is going on right now. No more a waste of time and space, but a hell of a lot more fun and telling.

The president has no real powers. HOBBIT to my knowledge never really did anything with his title, it's only Hector that pumped up his importance. Ben's ownership of the Entmoot does not enter into this.

Since it's still a year before the election will be held, there's little point in having a poll right now. Voting will probably be held through PM again, as that's safer and less easy to manipulate. Maybe a poll will then be put up as exit-poll, I don't know.
