Good old Photobucket. Don't forget to zoom in!
Great picture, Nurvi. I'm going to make that into a shirt!

I was going to say the Mediterranean, but I found out only recently that the Mediterranean isn't on the equator. Australia?

Now I want a shirt too!

I'm going to post in the Entmoot T-shirt thread about the possibilities of this.

We can't make money off it though since I used a Monty Python character (God). I don't know about the ethics of this. I mean, I felt possessive about all the work I put into it, but what about Monty Python?

I don't know how to help you there...Sorry.
Yeah! I want my regular Entmoot T-shirt too! I want to have a custom shirt to wear to my school every day of the week: The first Cafe shirt, the Entmoot shirt, the Tolkein Trail shirt, the second Cafe shirt, and then my Mars shirt.

Here you go, Thain. This is the caption for the Avvie, which was much bigger and should probably best be viewed as below:

Diagram 1. Changing views of spacetime along the world line of a rapidly accelerating observer.

In this animation, the vertical direction indicates time and the horizontal direction indicates distance, the dashed line is the spacetime trajectory ("world line") of the observer. The lower quarter of the diagram shows the events that are visible to the user, and the upper quarter shows the light cone- those that will be able to see the observer. The small dots are arbitrary events in spacetime.

The slope of the world line (deviation from being vertical) gives the relative velocity to the observer. Note how the view of spacetime changes when the observer accelerates.

EDIT: This is related to Special Relativity.

YEAH! *screams and yells like the people watching football*
Did anyone hear? The Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter has entered Martian Orbit! It is now in the process of Aerobraking, and will be doing so for the next few weeks. Let's all give a toast to the success of the MRO mission!
*pours glass of ancient wine, which is much more acceptably old because I went back to the future to tell my past self not to take the wine back and to return only with a few bottles, then continued forward to the past and got the rest of the bottles that I would be taking in the future*

Troll's bane, stop talking! My head is in a whirr, and about to burst! Or if you must spout these confusing space-time stuff, do it slowly, so I can take it in...

BTW, are you sure you haven't mixed up past and present in that last message? If you invert them, it makes sense... of a sort

I dunno. I could explain it, but it would be easier to explain everythign else in Special Relativity that I didn't put there, though that small diagram and everything underneath it pretty much sums up my view of Spec. Rel. to me.

Stop talking? Why would you ask me a question after telling me to stop talking? Sounds a bit contradictory. Switching up, are we?

Aren't you going to toast the success to the MRO? This is important! You people will toast for pretty much anything under the Sun (or whichever star you orbit), but when I post something (yes, there was something else a while back), it's forgotten! Ah well.

Had another great day at TLD! Going back tomorrow. It's great being needed urgently by someone. I have to fill in at the Kraal for someone. What luck! I will also get to work with Nick, provided my grandma doesn't screw everythign up somehow, because even though it's my dad taking me, she is now ordering him to buy her a very expensive plasma screen, and she wants to go out to Palm Desert, but doesn't want to get up that early to go. She is such a pain! I just can't stand her! Aaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!*pulls out hair* Somebody help me! Help! I just can't get rid of her ceaseless nagging, talking to my dad about me behind my back and vica versa (little does she know, we compare notes ), getting in to OUR business, taking it upon herself to put HER address on my TLD JV application as MY home address, using guilt to get me to chores for her then saying that they're "favors," not letting me eat MY tortilla chips and telling me to eat a ham sanwhich even though I had already had lunch, talking trash about you guys, lying and lying yet agian saying she never has lied, overdramatizing everyting, changing her story every ten minutes and saying "I never said that," says that my dad and I (of all people) need psychological help and says that she doesn't, and worst of all, she treats both my dad and I like we can't do anything on our own and that we depend on HER to do everything. And then she also trys to put ideas in our heads, for example, tells me that I don't want to visit my Mom and Ed. She also openly insults my mom, saying that she talked to my other grandparents and that they told her thas my mom was an accident, and lived out of her car because she ran away for a while, had all these problems, etc. etc. She is such a liar! And she tells all this TO OTHER PEOPLE!

The "Enter" key. Know it, love it, use it.

If you can't handle the intensity of TB's posts Serenoli, you could always ration them out, say, by reading one per hour.

*Whacks TB* Cool it ya twit! You and your stuff that no one understands!!

My new favorite quote that will ever be burned into my brain:

“What is that?”

“Chicken soup for the soul.”

“You should read tomato soup for your ass; it’s the Italian version.”

Calm down, foo!
No one understands? Which means no one cares about MRO?
In that case, I'm out of here! I need to find someone who DOES care about MRO. *considers revisiting New Mars message board tomorrow, or better yet, hosting a special Martian luncheon at the Meerkat, where everyone eats a Deja vu-inducing sandwhich.*

I have no idea what you're talking about sometimes TB, but I care. I always care! Plus I always find your posts wildly entertaining.

Oh, I missed this post. I use "nauseous" incorrectly.

A nauseated person would be nauseous, however, if they were to barf on someone's shoes.

Oops.

I submitted that post, then went off to do something else without looking to see if it went through.

Then, hours later, I noticed that the Entmoot page was blank so I refreshed it and caused a double post.

That is not why I'm at 7000+ posts! The server hiccups have only been happening recently.

Thank you! I'll be here all week.

Isn't this typical, the only people on the board at the same time as me are nine hours ahead of me.

Because it's two in the morning here.
