It is a body of electors. They represent states in the US during the presidential elections, and they cast the popular vote of the state I think, which will determine who the president will be.

known to be trusted,responsible, fair, helpful,equal to other mooters(and not consider yourself above).

and most of all: be there for entmoot.

Well if SGH won't be allowed to run, I will run in her place. No way will someone from Jersey be President. As a native New Yorker, I just cannot let that happen

If we went with the electoral college plan, we'd first have to create some states.

Maybe an electoral committee would just collect and count the votes.

In any case, I think that a person should be required to have at least 75 posts to be considered a legal voter. That would be a precaution against new accounts and guests created solely for fixing this election. (aka thwarting the likely evil plans of Falagar

)

well, the different states could be countries. that way all canadians get one say, all swedes get a say and so on.

Well last night I was actually thinking about stepping down from the running, but that is only if Jonathan will accept my nomination of him. I think if I step down - then so should you.

As you can see - based on everyone thinking that it's a no brainer between either SGH or me, it has nothing to do with possibly losing. Oh - and Dunedain - I saw your little comment about Naw Yawk and New Jersey.

Lizra - I thought it would be nice to have a new banner and stuff for Entmoot - say maybe the New Jersey flag.

Also - All my supporters, if Jonathan accepts the nomination - I call on you to throw your full support behind him.

Why can't Tolkien run? And being deceased is not a good enough reason, if, as Fat Middle says, the presidency is symbolic more than anything.
