I answered it, but that was a couple of pages ago, and I don't blame you for not wanting to sort through.

Time=Relationship

The amount of time you spend with a person of the opposite sex determines how deep the friendship will go. Just be careful how much time alone time you spend together. I believe you can be friends with someone of the opposite sex without letting sex get in the way.

All my beliefs on this matter are just extensions of my religious roots. In an effort to keep one of those arguments from surfacing, I'll just say it's clear that every one has varying degrees of opinion, with or without religious beliefs. On one side of the gamut we have the totally open-minded individuals that consider it a natural life process. On the other, we have the completely abstinent group.

Who is to say the other is wrong? No mere human .

I think that, in a friendship with a member of the opposite sex, some attraction will always exist at one point or another. However, this can be a way for the friendship to grow, if you choose not to act on it because you don't want to lose what you have or because you are already with someone.
I think it's really useful to have female friends, because then you can get a perspective from the other side, which is definately a must!

I don'tk now, crickhollow. In some cases, these points are true, under others they're not. Unfortunately, I happen to know people who have sex simply for the fun of having sex, and don't care who their partner is. Some of these people I know very well, so I know what they real feel about the issue - which is nothing. So I feel pretty confident in saying that sometimes sex and emotion do not go together.

And on numbers 2 & 3: the issue was whether or not sex can be separated from emotion. Since in the offending boyfriend or girlfriend's case it is, it doesn't matter what the other partner thinks in terms of proving the point. There is still one person who has no emotional attachment.

perhaps, then, I ought to have clarified what I was asking from you, which was a scenario where emotions are not involved on EITHER side. However, maybe we should just agree to disagree on this subject.

Agreed.

Besides, we all know what women really want . . . free tickets to the premieres of The Two Towers and Return of the King! Woohoo! And free tickets to The Who and Counting Crows in San Fransisco! At least, that's what I want. Forget dating, I'd rather have a life . . .

Nine months seems like such a long ways away! I'll break it down into smaller periods. first: Re-release of FOTR, end of the month! Second: School is done end of April. Third: Harry Potter comes out on video/dvd end of May!

Gollywinkies, this thread got long, really, really quickly!!!

Yep, FF: We all want ticket to Rotk and TTT!!!

And as for the sex before marriage debate: I think that it's up to people to chose what they want to do with their virginity. But I don't think people should judge someone on past mistakes. Anything and anyone can change: the bully of second grade can become the sweetest boy of the lot, the rapist who got ten years in jail might become a monk.

Never to undo something that’s been done.
I myself intend to stay virgin and never marry, but to each his own.

Just be careful these days. I don't think anyone here would want to go into labor come December.

And I agree with Laurelyn; because I believe that God forgives.

That's not what I meant, and you know it! However, if taken out of the context of the previous two messages, and inserted randomly into the sex debate of the previous three pages, I can see how the meaning might be misconstrued. What are you trying to do, boost me up onto Mary's pedastal?
