Yes, he is often found in literature classes, but anyone paid by the word is highly suspect. I will grant, however, that Ms. Havisham is a stroke of genius.

Wrong thread! That's what's going on in court, not the Teacup Cafe!

So... funniest joke I've ever heard:

In "Rookie of the Year", the pitching coach is very eccentric. Instructing the young man to be at practice on time, he says,

"Punctuality, Henry. Without it, time stands still."

Thinking this quote was very funny, I texted it to my fiance. His response read:

A bit!? Nightwish is metal. Something nice and flexible, though.

I listen to both old and new.
Surely you mean you're not as familiar with Anette, who replaced Tarja a couple of years ago? Anette is not an opera singer as Tarja was, so a bit of the opera metal has been watered out. But I think Anette's singing is tremendous nevertheless.
Tuomas says it's "symphonic metal with female vocals". That's the definition.
Me too. Both good in their own ways, though Anette may be better live; Tarja always sang to her nose live...
Dedicated Nightwish fan apologizes for the racket.

"Tonight on W-M.O.O.T.-TV we feature the swash-buckling adventures of Count Hector Berlioz in his epic fight for Truth, Honor and the Mootian Way. His adversary. Sir Jonathan, in his honest opinion, is the better of the two in the representing of that trio of magnificent attributes. The two will come to a head in this exciting episode, which outcome is still in balance..."

"And we're back on M.O.O.T. 102,2 with the Moots playing this Queen tune for Hector at his end of the Battling stage..."

Here I am, I'm the master of your destiny,
I am the one the only one, I am the god of kingdom come,
Gimme the prize, just gimme the prize,
Give me your kings, let me squeenze them in my hands,
Your puny princes,
Your so-called leaders of your land,
I'll eat them whole before I'm done,
The battle's fought and the game is won,
I am the only one,
I am the god of kingdom come,
Gimme the prize, just gimme the prize,
Move over, I said move over,
Hey, hey, hey clear the way,
There's no escape from my authority - I tell you -
I am the one the only one, I am the god of kingdom come,
Gimme the prize, just gimme the prize,
I am the only one,
I am the god of kingdom come,
Gimme the prize.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PB8De8DsqiQ

And this one for Jonathan at his end of the battling stage..."

It's a kind of magic,
It's a kind of magic,
A kind of magic,
One dream, one soul, one prize,
One goal, one golden glance of what should be,
It's a kind of magic,
One shaft of light that shows the way,
No mortal man can win this day,
It's a mind of magic,
The bell that rings inside your mind,
It's a challenging the doors of time,
It's a kind of magic,
The waiting seems eternity,
The day will dawn of sanity,
It's a kind of magic,
There can be only one,
This rage that lasts a thousand years
Will soon be gone,
This flame that burns inside of me,
I'm hearing secret harmonies
It's a kind of magic,
The bell that rings inside your mind,
Is challenging the doors of time,
It's a kind of magic,
It's a kind of magic,
This rage that lasts a thousand years,
Will soon be will soon be,
Will soon be gone,
This is a kind of magic,
Tere can only be one,
This life that lasts a thousand years,
Will soon be gone,
Magic - it's a kind of magic,
It's a kind of magic,
Magic, magic, magic, magic,
It's magic,
It's a kind of magic.

Hector, you called down the thunder. Now reap the whirlwind... a whirlwind of blades slicin'

(Ah, some good mood-heightening background music to our duel! I suppose you appreciate it as much as I do, eh Hector, my esteemed opponent? )

*Slices table in half, knocks over chairs*

What a day! I decided to treat myself to lunch at the Japanese place at the mall, and while in the mall, I run into a friend and end up getting whisked away to a free fencing lesson.

Maybe. LOL All I really learned was that there's three different "styles" with corresponding swords. I was planning on taking it next semester. Probably going to buy my own equipment and fence in the park with my friends who are also taking it.

That's pretty cool too

*sigh of happiness*

This summer is going to be so awesome. It already is awesome. I have a HUGE reading list of books I want to read and re-read.

In addition to that, I am in the midst of writing something. This is the first time I've written something for myself since...the last Teacup Mystery (which, by the way, I have most of...). All in all, happiness pervades!
