Didn't he have a song or album with gypsy in the title?

Maybe I shouldn't have capitalized the word "gypsy" in the lyric. It seems to be a little misleading. It's NOT the person's name. It's what the singer is calling the character in the song.

The genre of music is "Southern rock," and the band member who wrote the song said in concert that this is the best song he ever wrote.

Oh! I never did cotton much to that Southern Rock!

(except the Allman Bros) So...whozit? Lynyrd Skynyrd? Marshall Tucker Band? Charlie Daniels Band? Was Kansas Southern Rock? Headeast? I can't think of any others. What defined Southern Rock, besides "good ole hippie boys"! The long jam? At LEAST 2 lead guitars (dueling in the long jam)? A song with the word Boogie in it, on every album, hmmm, what else. Oh yeah, the guys always had long hair, well into the eighties, but NO hair spray! Sorry for rambling on!
