I was actually thinking of asking the same thing a few days back.
OK, here goes: Where did Elendil stand, looking to the West, for the coming of Gil-Galad?

Yep. That wasn't much more than a minute either.
Your go, Val

Who brought the shards of Elendil's sword to Valandil, at Rivendell?
(you guys really should try the 'Appendix Trivia' thread... it's getting to hard to find a question to stump - or even slow - people with in THIS thread... )

Yep. You're right Val. I remember the Ohtar question being asked about 3 times already. There was a thread, and I don't know if it's active, called Tolkein-Middle Earth Quiz in the ME forum. That includes everything Tolkien, and you could really get obscure, except you could get into some conflicts about what was Canon and what wasn't. I will try to find that thread, if not start another one.
OK. Last one, and I'm outta here: What was the name of Farmer Maggot's land?

OK, weekend quickie.
Where, precisely, when the Fellowship was still complete, was their greatest battle (most dangerous, etc.) fought.

They weren't complete then. They didn't have Gandalf.
Moria or more specificly The Chamber of Marzbul(sp).

I abase myself in abject error, O wise One.
But, since Gandalf was in fact distracting the Eye of Sauron from finding Frodo and the Ring, was he not there? HMMMMMMMmmmmmm?

Could well be... but I at least won't consider the party after his death as the complete fellowship - becasue he didn't really go with them.. even if he was alive, and fighting Sauron.
