Question #38 in that questionaire is "Are you romantic?". The person who last answered the question replied with the silly question "Are you a fish?" which doesn't have anything to do with the first question at all.

Lin, let me know your answers to that questionaire, please

Oh. But it was in capital letters so I assumed it was part of the question. :P Thanks.

(PS I know 'jag' is spelt with a 'g', for the first time I decided to drop it and copy a native speaker, i.e. Ner, and then I got corrected. )

Sure, I'll send my answers to you, but the Swedish is probably really bad.

ok, here's the deal: the question was: Är du romantisk? and I answered Är du en fisk, 'cos if i'm romantic, then you're a fish. get it?

it'll be really interesting to read your answers, lin!

I thought you didn't answer the question because it was also in capitals like the rest of the questions.

Hana, fick du inte mitt email? (Eller mitt PM?). I sent the questionnaire back. Btw, I forgot to answer 'FAVORIT SPORT?' (I don't even know what 'klätterväggar' is)- my fave sport's swimming.

Jag har köpt mina svenska kakor!

Wait a minute...Hana, you already sent me this one before, but with slightly different answers. Hehe.

Oh, I didn't even recognise it either, until I went to look for the 'older' saved version I had of it, and discovered they were the same thing. It was fun.

Ooh, hey, I've learned a few Swedish phrases, though I couldn't figure our your email one. I think these are the two most important, correct me if I'm wrong.

Var är toaletten?

Och...

Vill du har lytte kaffe?

What do you think guys? Guess what, my friends and I are having två fika this weekend! (How would you pluralize fika there? Fiken?)

Nurv, how do you find it imitating the Swedish tones?

This link will prove to be very helpful for you, I hope. It has all the verb tenses- present, past, supine, imperative and for nouns, the plural and gender. Great stuff.

Don't know how the people in Västerbotten pronounce the word but normally you'd spell it 'lite kaffe'.

I guess you'd say 'fikor' but I'd say 'my friends and I are having a fika twice this weekend'

Thanks. Hehehe.

There you go. Sorry for the delay, btw, but I don't have an internet connection in Vienna yet.

Gosh, I loved Sweden. Really. I mean Bollnäs was *cough* stupid *cough*. Really nothing to do up there, but the landscape was great.
Btw, Jon, I've been to Söderhamn. Why did you get your licence there?

But Stockholm was amazing. I truly love this city. I had the mediterranean flair that I love so much. Plus, I like Swedish so it was fun listening to people and trying to figure out what writings and so on meant. In fact Stockholm must be one of my favourite places on this planet.
For details, ask again. Hehehe.

Min svenska är brä, eller hur?

In the winter, you can ski in Bollnäs but I don't think there's much else you can do there.
Wohoo, Söderhamn! I'll ask you - where do you think there's a lot less traffic and the drivers are a lot calmer? In Stockholm or Söderhamn?

Jag mår bra. Tack. Jag är inte mer sjuk. (*wonders if that is correct*)

Javisst, tack så mycket. Jag ska svara snart.

You can ski in Bollnäs? I know they took us to a so called mountain after we went to Jarvzoo but this wasn't a mountain. Not more than a hill, I would say.

I always wondered how people can take driving lessons in bigger cities. Horrible.
And yes, I want to return there.

Almost. You could say 'jag är inte sjuk mer' though 'jag är inte sjuk längre' would be the most correct way to say it.
You've been ill?

Yep, not at all like the Austrian Alps

I agree, I believe you did the right thing getting your license before moving to Vienna.
Yay!

Tack. Right, still am (not seriously, though). It's so d... cold in this city.

Do you drive a lot inside of Stockholm?

Get better (or 'krya på dig')

It's getting cold in Stockholm as well. Sometimes I shiver when I wake up in the morning. I always forget to turn on the radiator.

I don't drive much at all but when I do, I mostly drive in the city.
How often do you drive?

Well, I drove several times a week some months ago but now I don't drive anymore, because I don't have a car here in Vienna.

A Swedish friend told me a sentence that you say to your friends when you met and then depart again. Has "bra" in it. Do you have any idea what it could be?

That is "Ha det bra!" which means "Have a nice time" the rest of the day, week or month!" or whatever.

Ach, that phrase is annoyingly handy. The number of times I've found that I began to say it to people when saying bye...only to find that I can't use it in English! I start to say 'Have-' and then I can't really end it because 'Have fun' or 'Have a good day' or whatever would sound stupid. So I end up sounding even stupider by cutting that sentence short. (If that makes sense).

Has anybody seen the German sitcom/comedy (sort of) "Ravioli"? We're watching it in Deutsch III.
