He hasn't been on in a while and nor has bookworm so I guess the question is up for grabs!

Fili carried Bilbo in the mountain when the orcs were chasing them.

I thought it was Dori... could be wrong, though. Or was it both?

It was Dori, but Ethuiliel already got it. Dang it, I actually knew that one!
EDIT: Full answer? Is this... an essay question? Dori was compelled to carry Bilbo in the goblin's cavern because he was, as Bilbo described, "a decent fellow". This is foreshadowing to later, when Dori again saves Bilbo's life. etc. etc.

I was talking about the chase in the mountains though... and yes, full answer. Dori and Fili are both wrong.

You're not referring to in the mountains, right after they escaped the goblin king?

They escaped the Goblin King, then Dori carried him, yes. But then, they still had to run away of the goblins; Dori couldn't keep carrying him, so he switched.. ermmm... I'm looking for that.

Let us go dwarf-naming. Dori dropped him down to Gollum, but someone else carried him first... Ori?

what do you mean by full answer? bombur picked up bilbo as they were fleeing the goblin hord. then he got into doris hands who in turn was grabbed by goblins, right when bilbo fell.
