There's a movie festival on at the moment down at the old civic theatre. I got to see the most complete version of Metropolis to date, as well as Cowboy Beebop.

[QUOTE]Finally saw Matrix Reloaded. Blergh. Did anyone else giggle at Morpheus' speech in Zion?[QUOTE]
Yeah, i was laughing because it was so stupid, a lot of people asked me to leave, i didnt, but a lot of other people had to because they were laughing to! Saw Schindler's list again, same powerful effect on me still.

Nice picks, zinnite!
Requiem for a Dream... pretty hardcore stuff. I like the nightmare bunnie in Donnie Darko.

I have seen so many!
Dark Blue, Solaris, Cradle to the Grave, House of 1000 Corpses, * Phantazm II, Nightmare on Elm St. IV, & Tomb Raider II, at the theatre. *I recommend H. of 1000 Corpses for a good horror flick, the direction was awesome. Rob Zombie should make movies for a living! |

Dirty Pretty Things directed by Stephen Frears
a brilliant crime thriller with a conscience moving, gut wrenching, one of the best films I've seen this year...

I rented out Just Married last night. With Ashton Kutcher and Brittany Murphy (i think i spelt her name right)
It was an ok film, some bits were hilarious and i found really funny but it's not one of the best films i've seen. i'd give it 5/10 ( hee hee i feel like one of those reviewers in magazines) |

I saw Spy Kids 3-D yesterday. It wasn't as funny as the first two films, but it was almost completely in 3-D, and the special effects ad stuff that popped out at you were really cool.

I saw Seabiscuit on Saturday. I liked the way the movie jumped back and forth between the parallel lives and then how these lives finally weaved together.
