Love is when your boyfriend softly rubs your back, when you're lying down next to him and not feeling well, and full of pain, and there's no words. Love is when you don't have to ask him to, and he doesn't have to ask you if he can.

Love is when your boyfriend, out of the blue for no particular reason, brings you home an ice cream cake. Just like that. An ice cream cake. That's love!

Some believe love is simply a twitch of salivallic addiction. Inthe saliva is a compound that is more addictive than nicotine, or herion for that matter and is as unique as its carrier. And once that unque signature embedded in the saliva of the lover is gone for a time, or forever, we go into a horrible withdrawl, that lasts a lifetime or less than half that, hopefully. I hate to just downgrade love (precious) to a biophysical response, but dont we all (master of the precious, precious).

What was that song, Robert Palmer song from the 80's - "Might as well face it, you're addicted to love!"

Anyway I know I am. Always. I have loved this world since I can first remember experiencing it, and I trust I will continue to do so 'til my heart dies. I can't help it.

I love plums

Nice one. I love plums once they are cooked slowly in brown sugar for many hours on a slow heat with a touch of black currant syrup over chocolate icecream.

Last edited by olorin hamfast : 10-04-2005 at 01:32 AM. Reason: I love homemade plum jam on ice cream

i don't hate to do that. actually, i don't find it degrading at all to look at love as an biophysical response. but then again, i'm a biology student. (no, that has NOTHING to do with it!!)

First Nations People or persons of aboriginal descent ( or Injuns for you subterrainian folk) Are indeed highly sceptical of any thing with a scientific basis, particularily when we attempt to discuss anything intrinsic in the fabric of life, particularily things like natures origins and love. In respect to them and as a scientist, Isuggest that there are other explanations for things other than what science trires to dictate from time to time. Look at Aristotle for instance. I simply said that to pay respect to otheropinions and the first people as they likely will have an altogether different explanation of thier own

Indeed....? Love is...?

When you miss some one, when you never have really thought about or missed anything before. A persistant ache that doesn't leave till you hear their voice and feel their touch. Then all of that ache goes away and you are content to stay where ever they are for any length of time.
