And that is something I'd really like to see.

PJ left out many things in his two films, like Tom Bombadil and Gimli falling in love with Galadriel (though I think you could see that in the extended version). It would be sad if he left out the Éowyn-Faramir affair in his third film.
That's even better. Black and blonde hair mingling in the air.

eowyn

eowyn and faramir has got to make it into the film, even if it's just a hint of attraction and a then a final reference. i can't wait to see eowyn v witch king either. that's the cool thing about the movies - that if pj's brought arwen's character out, it's likely we'll get a more satisfying treatment of this eowyn event, bringing the female characters to the fore and all that my ultimate question about rotk is how in the name of all things immortal and pointy-eared will they keep the film to a laymen audience friendly length???

Nobody will remember Arwen, if they once saw Eowyn fighting.

The rumour is that it (the theatrical version) will be about 3 1/2 hours long. And I will NOT step out for one moment to use the restroom the first time I see it, even if it kills me!

I will sit in there even if it lasts 5 hours.

I heard a rumour that the film was indeed going to last 5 hours. But I have nothing against that. The more RotK, the better. I know I'm going to sit there hoping that the film won't end.

And I sure hope that the Éowyn's fight with the Witch-king will be a looong one

In case it does last five hours, and you like to have a large pop, well, there's always adult diapers. Just kidding! I wouldn't leave either.

There's no way PJ would leave out the Witch-king battle, I think he's gonna do that part really well. Merry will get his time to shine! I just hope Pippin isn't left in the lurch.

I also think he will have Eowyn and Faramir fall in love, that would wrap up the 'love triangle' book-style, something I'm sure he finds preferable to making up something new. Okay, we'll see on that one.

I already thought that about TTT. I sat in the Cinema and wished the movie would go on forever. And then it came to it's end and I was like "that can't be all".
To be true, I couldn't enjoy the first time watching it, because I always had in mind, that the movie will soon be at it's end. That destroyed the whole movie for me.

I was the opposite. I was waiting for it to end. (Never happened before in movies)

From a while ago: my friend detests Eowyn and thinks that she and Aragorn will get together. (As soon as she said this, I thought "Entmoot") I am itching to tell her what really happens, but I don't want to ruin it for her.

This is starting to go off topic, but IF the movie were to last 5 hours, they'd have to have an intermission (ahhhh ). But maybe it's the EE that will be 5 hours. Yay!
(I wish I could see the movie with other 'mooters. That would be fun. No one I know here is as into it as I am. ).

Yeah, that would be cool. It is horrible to go to the cinema with somebody who only goes for your sake and isn't obsessed and amazed and everything.

Back to Eowyn I guess: The will be so cool in RotK.

I don't know. Her portrayal in TT was excellent. But, I still wonder how (if they do) Faramir and her will fall in love. I don't think it can be done as in the books... you know, her suddenly realising it or whatever (Will get quote soon).

I see the problem within Faramir. I mean he was really dumb in the movie. How will they make him cute and understanding in RotK?

Not so much dumb. More evil, I think.

To your question: I do not know. This was speculated about previously. I think that he will do some spontaneous/sudden heroic deed that she sees and will prompt her to fall in love. Also, they already started that 'understanding' bit when he released Sam and Frodo from Osgiliath.

PJ has driven himself into a diffucult situation. but it is his own fault.
