Well, hullo everyone. As you can see, I don't hang out here muchly anymore. There's a good reason for this. Y'see, I've been hanging out at a different chatboard called Cardboardia. So far, I've been havin' a blast. Not that I don't love the TLA, but the magic of Entmoot is lost on me. So, as soon as TLA ends, so will my existance here, probably.

Who knows though? I might stay. Highly unlikely however. This is a good bye in advance, then. Unless you want to join me and my group of friends at Cardboardia.

Cheers!

I think its quite ironic that Germany reach the final after qualifying as a wild card play - off winner ( and that was after getting trounced 1 - 5 by England ) and Brazil qualified by the skin of their teeth ! If you look at the european section of the qualifiers , poland were the first team to qualify with a near perfect record, anf they were utter tripe in the finals !!
Anyeway Brazil will win without a doubt - Germany are without Ballack and he was the only class player in the team - my prediction is 4 - 1 to Brazil with Ronaldo finnishing top scorer in the competition ( apparently the winner gets a free course of treatment at the dentist ! ) and Rivaldo diving to get at least one german sent off.The big question is ' will roberto Carlos actually pass the ball to someone '!!!!!??

Well, if we're taking odds. I'm guessing it will be a close game, maybe 2-1 to Brazil?

::sheepish look:: It took a while of convincing from the BF that those were in fact Ronaldo's teeth, and not a mouth guard....

I would say BoP’s prediction seems more realistic.

if thats the case , was it realistic to think that Korea would get tothe semi finals ? that argentina would go out in the first round ?
Only time will tell - but dont rule out any surprises. Maybe ronaldo will bite the ball and get the match abondoned !

Maybe the Brazilians malfunctioning nervous system (getting hit on the leg and moaning about an eye injury) might just give the Germans the victory.

Indeed you are right - although the Brazilians are wondefully skilled football artisans, sadly they are also very cynical( and to put a polite word to it) and dirty.Such a shame , but hey , its not like nobody cheats in sport anymore eg Michael Owen( taken more dives than Jacques Cousteaue - and i bet i spelt that wrong !)

I think being on home ground, and having dodgy referees helped.

I wanted USA to win but it's okay that Brazil won instead. I also kinda wanted England to win a little.

Don't shout.

They'll probaly win anyway by cheating their way through it. They won't deserve it though. One of the reasons I normally don't watch sports: the winner is seldom the best one.
