I think I saw a video at the video store called "Santa Claws" or something similar. Looked very gory.

What about the Jack Frost movies with the killer snow-man. Those were pretty lame.

Aw, I loved those (and still do)! Are you talking about the Rankin Bass stop animation Christmas ones?

I think Rei's talking about a cheap-o horror movie I saw on the shelf down at the local Movie Gallery. On the one I saw, Jack Frost was some kind of psychotic snowman on a serial killing spree or something like that. I thought it was probably stupid and didn't give it a second look.

I don't know whether or not this movie has already been discussed, but, what did everyone think of "Titanic"? Personally I thought it was horrible and think the only reason it got best picture that year was because of the hype. I doubt any of the judges even had the heart to watch it.

I REALLY didn't like Titanic, but I wouldn't call it one of the worst films ever made. I can see why a lot of people liked it, but I never wanted to see it from the time I saw the previews (I knew how it would end already, and I really didn't want to see that). When I finally did see it (my sister in law loved it and bought the video, so we thought we'd watch it to see what all the hype was about), I didn't think the inner story line was believable enough to be included in a true story, and I just didn't like it, like I knew I wouldn't.

I hated the inner storyline as well. Though, it may just be my hatred for anything with Leo DiCaprio in it. Ever since he desacrated the good name of Shakespeare with that horrible portrayal of Romeo.......*mumbles incoherently and angrily*

ooh! I hated that movie! Another dreadful one...how could they do such horrible things to Romeo & Juliet and thus defiled the works of The Bard? How could they? *joins in the mumbling incoherently and angrily*

Did anyone ever see "The Beach" (I think that's right) with Leo Dicraprio in it? I didn't, but I just wanted to know how much it sucked.

I thought Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within was terrible. Everybody died. movies can't end like that.
Also Bye Bye Birdie. I know it's a play too, but it was just terrible! The story is so stupid, it's almost funny. almost.
Grease also has to be one of the stupidest movies ever made. I'm probably alone on this, but it totally has no point whatsoever.

Well, I think a couple songs are ok, but I really don't "love it"

Grease was one of those movies where it's so cheesy that you almost have to love it. It's what carries it through to the next generations. Kind of like Oklahoma. I'm being forced by my friends to audition for Oklahoma.......I think I'll purposefully do a bad job just to stay away from such a horrid musical. The movie scared me.

Worst movies I ever sat through (don't know why, but hope springs eternal and I kept thinking they might redeem themselves before their bitter ends):

Caligula -- felt positively punished afterwards
Henry and June -- how someone could take a fascinating individual like Henry Miller and make such a boring film boggles the mind
