Yeah, I heard about the weird weather in the US. It was on the news this morning actually.
So how is the weather at everyone's respective town? Bearable?
Be careful in storms please

My sister is home sick. And what's worse: she has pills, but she can't have milk for 3 hours after taking them and she is practically addicted to milk. So now she can have 1 glass of milk after 9 PM. Needless to say she was pretty upset when the doctor told her this.
Hehe, everyone in my family turns into a whiner when sick (me most of all ) so she keeps telling me how much she wants to drink milk

Drinking milk while you are sick is not a good idea! It will make you sicker, and clog up your throat and sinuses even worse.

You better hide the milk from her...

Cow, but mine is 'fresh' (more or less) and the brand my parents drink is pasteurized.

The weather here hasn't been too bad. It's funny because my family lives in the suburbs of one of those little outskirt-towns of a larger town, the kind that actually is in a rural area, but the school district won't close unless the larger town's school district closes. It used to drive me crazy. Now I'm going to the university in town, and THAT doesn't ever get cancelled either. So my whole life has been one big usually-unanswered prayer that we'll get out of school when the roads are slick. Go figure.

Don't you hate it when, in the winter, you get out of the shower and get all dried off, and your whole body is itchy because you're just a giant piece of dry skin walking around? Drives me bonkers! It's enough to make me want to fill my bathtub with lotion and sink down into it for a few minutes after my shower... Geez.

Haha, I never ever got a day off from school because of heat or snow or anything weather-related and I doubt I ever will

Midge, water dries out your skin, so that feeling is not very odd. Just make sure to use bodylotion after showering and it will soon regulate.

That's kind of traumatic. I don't really remember you talking about your teacher, so I don't know what on earth was going on, but still... I would think that some students at your school probably are going to need counseling (not necessarily you; it's just I know that a LOT of people at my high school would probably need therapy for that kind of thing...). Geez.

I'll probably take the ACT once, I heard that it's a lot easier, and probably more my league

As for Norman, I never liked him from the first time I stepped in to his class. I really dont think people are going to go crazy about it, except maybe the girls involved.

Anyway, tomorrow is the last day until Christmas Break! Woohoo! A pointless two days but whatever. Of course I have a quiz in Trig tomorrow, blehhh

Midge, make sure you use a soap that isn't too rough. I'd suggest something like Dove, or Irish Spring. Some of the fancy ones (like the flower-y perfume-y body washes/bar soaps) can actually be quite drying, or you may have a slight allergic reaction to them.

Another idea is don't dry off too roughly, especially if your towels aren't new and fluffy.

If you're really having trouble, I'd suggest not 'double soaping' (i.e. you soap up your arm, rinse off, and soap it up again) if you do that. Also make sure your shampoo isn't getting on the rest of your body when it washes off... I know it's a tiny thing, but if you're really having problems with getting dried out right after a shower it might help.

Lastly, don't spend too long under the water, and if you take burning hot showers try turning it down just a little to be mildly hot. Because if you have really hot water, aren't using a moisturizing soap, and then you dry off roughly with your towel, you can definitely scratch up your skin and make it itchy.

I used to get really itchy too after showers, and I tried some of those things and they worked for me... sooo... hopefully you can find something helpful. O.o Yeah, it sucks hardcore.

Ew. I'm not sure if I'm taking it a third time or not. It's soooo freakishly long.

Heh, same here. But that's because we took 2 days off last week to go to Monterey and a Christmas dinner with relatives.

You all didn't get vacation today? Poor you
My holiday started today and will last till Friday next week. But I'll have to work, do lots of Christmassy stuff, sing, socialize and go to a themepark.
Busy, but great times.

Nope, no vacation until tomorrow after school. Can't wait either. Its just going to be a bunch of hanging with the family, reading, and going out with my friends. And yet I have to study for the SATs everyday during vacation, ewwww.

F***ing snow. We are pretty much snowed in because my boyfriend's dad took the one car with snow driving capabilities.
We also don't know if the busses are still running.

And I sure as **** am not coming after you to dent up my car again, then have you leave 15 minutes after. Bleh.

At any rate, I romped with the puppies. It was fun. I wish Captian was here, he'd have a ball with my two dogs.
