Jean-Jacques Rousseau is like my new favorite person...ever.
Brandybuck -- I'm pretty sure you don't know me by this name, but you'll be surprised how well you know me. Haha!
Still have only had a limited chance to read Rousseau. I bought a sort of Philosophical analysis/anthalogy that breaks philosophy into sections (political, art, metaphysics, etc.), with excerpts pertaining to that section from a number of philosophers. There is some Rousseau.

Actually, I happen to agree with you. I'm a sort of assimilationist; I think the best hope for humanity is not inventing another philosophy, but taking the best from all of those that have existed. (I'm sure that even Machiavelli had his merits, although, I've not had a chance to read that and find out. )

Rousseau....Rousseau....what is it about him that I am attracted to...? Well many things. I am currently reading his Discourse on Equality. Its basically like a Man vs. Nature type of thing, to put it in the simplest of words. I find truth in a lot of things that he has to say, I cant really pin point it exactly...Philosophy to me, is much like Astronomy. You think you have the right answers only to be proven wrong...again...and again. I like making up my own philosophies too. And of course, they are always right
Well, if my hard drive hadn't been wiped out, I'd be glad to send you my book as I was promising, Comrade. Pity it has been. But I'm re-writing my party's Constitution and Declaration of Principles completely anew, and making them two separate documents. I'm also going to hold a small "Reformed Brendonianist Party" meeting with the local core members; I need to see if I can get them interested in forming the precursor of our economic front.

Here's to geology... Had an argument with someone about it the other day.

Well, I left the Cave of Plato, and saw the outside world. And now, I've returned to it, knowing the true nature of the shadows and sounds I see.

Wow! Pytt! It's been a long time, Comrade! How's it been?

All these lucky people *darkly mutters a few things under her breath*
I'm missing the party for my aunt and uncle who've been married for 30 years because of this bloody presentation. *looks even darker*

On the bright side, the weather is lovely and I'm listening to one of my favourite CD's *looks happier already*

Hooray! Things to be cheerful about at least!

As for me... my laziness will come at a price when I have to work my little buns off to make up for this extended vacation... lucky me...

Plus, I seem to be between countries at the moment, so I'm more or less homeless

Between countries? How come? Anything you wouldn't mind sharing?
And which countries if you don't mind me asking?
I'm a Dutchie myself. (from the Netherlands )

Well I'm American by birth and I'm engaged to a Brit so... between countries at the moment because I don't actually live in either place lol... I'm currently IN the UK, but I can't stay here as I don't have Indefinite Leave to Remain yet, because I need to apply for the whole spousal visa thing after we're married, which we aren't yet.

*wipes her forehead and takes a gulp of tea*

Whew... It's a bit of a long story lol...

But if you're in the UK, you're close to me! *starts waving like crazy while facing the general direction of the UK* Hi~!

o_O Really? Why?!? Because of administrative costs or something?
And you'd need to get a job and a house and and and... *looks about to freak out* That's a lot...
Good luck >_<

Yeah, you know... I have NO CLUE why it costs THAT MUCH! But it does! I was stunned when I found out... and I mean, technically they could still refuse to give me one if I filled the application out wrong or if they just didn't like me, haha... And then I'd have to reapply and pay for it all over again!

Let's hope that doesn't happen -_-

And yes, then I would still need to find a job over here haha... The house is taken care of for now, it's just temporary, not a place we'll be in forever, but it's okay for now lol

You choose a bad time to go look for a house in the UK though. The housemarket there is bad. I was told that in Wales it's still possible to buy a house though. But then, who wants to live in Wales?
(Just kidding, the scenery is beautiful, but the unemployment rate is superhigh)

*sigh* Will I ever finish this presentation? I guess not.
So anyway... another cup of tea?

*gets up to make herself a nice cup of tea without a biscuit because her sister ate the last one , but with a few winegums*

Haha... well it's not like the housing market is any better in the US! Not AS bad, maybe... but still... can't help it when most of the world is having economy troubles...

*catches sight on the monster and slowly backs away, clutching her passport*

This must be new... I don't remember that.
Ah, GW...you must know Jeffery from the airplane.

Huh...I scrolled up a bit on that page and it looks like Sasquatch stole my greeting!
(i.e. "Howzit everyone?")
That's okay, you can have it.

Oh, I should probably tell you all...
My mom is getting a divorce (finally) and moving to Arizona! Yay!

It will be interesting to see how she does out there; I'm glad to have the genes of such a resiliant person: she'll be a blind diabetic living completely on her own in the desert. So far so good.
She wants to make a living by publishing her books and re-opening her mosaic business.
