Its kinda sad. Canada's Navy (in WWII) was one of the largest and most effective.

Wait, I don't think we're under US command in Afghanistan. General Rick Hillier takes orders from an American? Or does he work with Americans, sometimes carrying out American objectives?
We did go to Afghanistan to support Americans, so working towards their objectives would make sense I guess. Quote:

And you are retreating from what? A few squirrels and some angry beavers? Shame on you! You oughta be able to make at least one hat out of that rabble!

You Canadians might start pelting acorns at me. Those things are hard.

You could come down to Californee and get some of ours. Ever since I got here, there have been ripe orange on the tree year round; while I haven't studied the matter, I imagine acorns can be found quite easily, as well.

Nor have I. But whatever, I'd chuck squirrels at you, they cling and do more damage.

Hahahha! Although, that squirrel is slightly distrubing. And it looks like a marmoset though.

Begs the question - which is more scary : being humped by 3 rabid humping squirrels, or being slapped with a cold wet noodle?

Yay Vancouver! MR is Maple Ridge for you non-lower mainlanders.
I live in Kitsilano, though I'm right about to move. I just went to Richmond to take a First Aid course. Richmond has these silly banners that actually, in all seriousness, say "Richmond: Better in every way". (Background is a silouhette of a guy on a bicicle, watching a plane land, with a pretty sunset behind.) Smarmy lines like that make me think of bad things about the city, though I do like Richmond. I was like "Richmond: Heavy traffic/We can't drive/No one likes living near an airport/Build the RAV already/We can't get flood insurance". (People from Richmond can, in fact, drive, but they have a bad reputation for poeple driving too fast in heavy traffic and getting impatient etc.) If I was making promotional banners, I would have said one good thing about the city, like "Richmond: Great sushi/Beautiful views/We have rad malls/Come and do business/Amazing seascapes" you get the idea. Or if we were doing transit-themed ones... Vancouver: Running red lights sinces 1972 Richmond: I don't give a damn about my bad reputation (Joan Jett) Maple Ridge: Well, you can take the train here at least Langley: The Skytrain doesn't go this far Abbotsford: What is this "transit" of which you speak? Is that like driving? Coquitlam: Exit the highway when you see the Ikea Lions Bay: Where's that? Horseshoe Bay: Come and take the ferry Tsawassen: We have the other ferry White Rock: Close to the ferry North Vancouver: You can take a city bus to Grouse Mountain! Good times.
